  13. Our new Exabyte 8500 didn't work properly on our suns. We get a errormessage
  14. like 'Now at 4.0 Mb syncronous " for every block we reads from the tapeunit. 
  15. The message indicates SCSI-bus resets I think. I've borrowed an old Exabyte
  16. 8200 from a Vaxstation II/GPX and it works perfectly.

  18. I've talked with the vendor, but they don't know anything about this problem.

  20. I've tried with some different terminators without success. If I hooks the
  21. 8500 to the Vaxstation, the 8500 works fine and I can't see any problems
  22. using it on the old slow Vaxstation.

  24. Somebody told me that we maybe need change some setups and configurations
  25. for the SunOS kernel. Anybody knows more? Please mail me with some hints...

  27. The suns we tried is SLC and IPC. The revision of SunOS is 4.1.2 and the 
  28. Exabyte is from 920330 and should have the latest revision of eeprom-software.
