- Has anyone noticed problems with the screen refresh on a SPARCclassic?
-
- I was at a demo today and another person and I were playing with a
- SPARCclassic, simply moving windows about, popping windows up, making them go
- away, etc. (looking for games basically :-).
-
- While we were doing this, I noticed a strange effect. Rectangular pieces of
- windows were occasionally left lying about the root window as we moved windows
- about. This happened several times in only a couple minutes of playing. The
- pieces would disappear if another window was moved over them but I thought the
- left over pieces quite obnoxious. It also suprised me since I have never seen
- anything like it on other X displays on Suns, HPs, NCD's, etc. Is this
- isolated or have others noticed similar effects?
-
- I typically use MIT X11R5 with tvtwm on Suns rather than Openlook which was
- what the demo machine was running. Is the problem related to Openlook?
-
- BTW, I thought the SPARCclassic color display quality was quite nice and the
- window movement was fast.
