  14. I am trying to attach a NEC LC-890 postscript printer to my Sun 3/80
  15. running SunOS 4.0.3. At first I thought the parallel port would be the
  16. easiest. However, when I try to cat to the device /dev/pp0 I get the
  17. device not found message. I have the following line in the kenel config
  18. file:

  20.     device pp0 at obio ? csr 0x6f000000 priority 1
  21.  
  22. and I used the MAKEDEV pp0 command to create the device files.
  23. I am not sure what kind of entry I need in the /etc/ttytab file.

  25. Any suggestions on how to get the parallel port to work and a typical
  26. printcap file for a postscript printer on the parallel port would be
  27. appreciated. Please send suggestions to smithsw@chess.ncsu.edu.
