- I have a Silicon Graphics CD-ROM drive that I'd like to be able to
- attach to my SparcStation 1 running SUN OS 4.1.1. I gave it SCSI
- address 6 as mentioned in the sr device driver man page, but the
- device is not being recongized by SparcStation while booting. Using
- the ROM commands, I've confirmed that the device is recognizable at
- address 6.
-
- So my questions are: Is it even possible to use the SGI CD-ROM drive
- with my SparcStation? or have modification been made by SGI making
- the drive somewhat non-standard? If it is useable, what do I have to
- do to make it recognizable to UNIX? A different device driver?
-
- Thanks for any help.
