  15. I have a Silicon Graphics CD-ROM drive that I'd like to be able to
  16. attach to my SparcStation 1 running SUN OS 4.1.1.  I gave it SCSI
  17. address 6 as mentioned in the sr device driver man page, but the
  18. device is not being recongized by SparcStation while booting.  Using
  19. the ROM commands, I've confirmed that the device is recognizable at
  20. address 6.

  22. So my questions are: Is it even possible to use the SGI CD-ROM drive
  23. with my SparcStation?  or have modification been made by SGI making 
  24. the drive somewhat non-standard?  If it is useable, what do I have to
  25. do to make it recognizable to UNIX?  A different device driver?
