  14.     Sorry to bother you with what might be a trivial question but
  15. I have exhausted my knowledge of how to fix this problem.

  17. I am getting the following error at the end of compilation:

  19. ld: -lxview: No such file or directory
  20. *** Error code 4
  21. make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `xvnews'
  22. Current working directory /u/irstaff/kevin/Downloads/xvnews
  23. *** Error code 1
  24. make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all'

  26. I have checked my ld path and it is:

  28. LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/applic/nir/sun4/openwin/lib:/applic/nir/sun4/devguide/lib:
  29.     /usr/openwin/include/xview:/usr/lib:/usr/openwin/lib
  30.  
  31. I have also tried editing the makefile to include the pathname of the
  32. the xview libraries.

  34. All this is attempting to be done on a sparc 1+ w/ ow3.
