  15. I have encountered a bug using OpenWindows v.2
  16.  
  17. Details:
  18.    * I double-clicked a file called foo.tex in the file manager window.
  19.    * This brought up the file foo.tex in a text edit window
  20.    * I edited the hell out of the file foo.tex
  21.    * As I was working on the file (I forget if I was splitting the screen by
  22.      pulling down from the top button on the scrollbar or if I selecting a
  23.      block of text) the file manager window disappeared and took the file I
  24.       was working on with it.
  25.    * I was able to locate the file that appeared to be the log file of the
  26.       editing session.  It was called Text3665.0, and here is the long
  27.       directory listing:

  31.    * This file contains a bunch of control caracters and blocks of text
  32.       from the file {blocks that I had cut and pasted}.
  33.    * I copied the log file into another file called foo.tex.log for
  34.       safe-keeping.
  35.    * The file foo.tex in my directory is still the UNedited version.
  36.    * There are no mid-edit version of the file anywhere that I can find.
  37.  
  38. Question:
  39.    * How (if possible) can I recover the editing changes I made (and lost)
  40.       on the file foo.tex {I assume the logfile is somehow used...?}
