- X terminals don't run SunOS (or Solaris, or whatever you want to call it).
- Therefore they don't need a license.

- on a Sun does not mean that they need an RTU for any of it. The programs
- are running on a Sun, and *that's* the system that needs the license(s).
- X-terminals are just that - terminals. A bit smarter than some (maybe :-) )
- but terminals nonetheless, at least as far as the user is concerned.

- Sounds like this particular sales rep. should be avoided in future if
- the advice was to buy them from Sun. For starters, Sun won't (currently)
- sell you software, even RTUs, for hardware they didn't sell. Last time I
- looked, X terminals weren't on the Sun price list.
