  13. 1) anyone knows why my hp750 running hp-ux 8.0.7 sometime creates very huge files to
  14. completely fill up the disk?  it seems to related to some kind of NFS problem.

  16. 1st case:  cp a large file from Sun on to the HP disk, which is nfs automounted.

  18. 2nd case:  file is generated from an application running on Sun, while the working
  19.            directory is the nfs automounted disk from HP.

  22. 2) another strange problem on the HP was the compress and uncompress commands.  it
  23. complains about corrupted data when the file is large in size.
