  16.     I have a PI 4D/20 with IRIX 3.3.2 running on it.
  17. I currently have no support contract and an upgrade to
  18. IRIX 4.0 will cost me over 2000 dollars which is nearing
  19. what I paid for the machine itself. I won't be able to 
  20. upgrade anytime soon but I'm having tremendous problems.
  21. IRIX will crash on me up to 3 or 4 times a day, perhaps
  22. it's not 3.3.2 but something I am doing, I'm not sure.
  23. It can happen while a program is running or while nothing
  24. is happening at all. Sometimes I get an actually KERNAL
  25. PANIC or a MEMORY FAULT. Usually, 4sight simply freezes
  26. up in some odd way and I have to punch reset button. I've
  27. noticed actually that the machine seems to crash less when
  28. I'm working on it. I maanaged to keep it up for almost nine
  29. hours straight this weekend until I went off for a few
  30. hours and it was dead. Is 3.3.2 known to be this buggy? 
  31. Could I have a hardware problem? Any help is appreciated
