  13. The problem is we have only a limited amount of money available (who
  14. has more ? 8), but our preference is best computing performance prior
  15. to excellent graphics speed. So SGI's Iris Indigo R4K with entry
  16. graphics would be our choice ... BUT only 60 Hz vertical refresh rate.
  17. My personal opinion is that 70 Hz is the minimum refresh rate for a
  18. good display one can work with without getting tired/headached. SGI
  19. claimes to have a special technique for obtaining better results even
  20. with 60 Hz. On the other hand some workstations (HP 7xx, IBM RS/6000)
  21. offer 70+ Hz displays for reasonable prices (even a $2000 PC has
  22. already at least a 1025x768 256 colors 70 Hz display). So here is my
  23. question:

  25. Are there any experiences with the low (60 Hz) refresh rate of the SGI
  26. Iris Indigo Entry Graphics.
