- I posted a while ago about experiences compiling gated under PTX.
- Not even the usual suspects (:-) replied...
-
- The hard bit is trying to work out how to send/receive ICMP packets
- via the raw IP interface. The STREAMS based TCP/IP seems to be quite
- similar to SVR4 (even to the /etc/netconfig file) but is missing the
- rawip driver and support for SOCK_RAW in the socket module/library.
-
- The PTX documentation is really helpful. It says that applications
- need to use the TLI interface to access raw IP datagrams. Needless
- to say, the TLI stuff fails to mention anything at all about raw IP.
-
- Does anyone out there have any advice about this problem? Is there
- any relevant documentation. Have Sequent ported rawip to PTX? Does
- anyone have any working code for PTX which sends/receives ICMP that
- they could send me?
-
- TIA
- Chris
