  11. I posted a while ago about experiences compiling gated under PTX.
  12. Not even the usual suspects (:-) replied...

  14. The hard bit is trying to work out how to send/receive ICMP packets
  15. via the raw IP interface. The STREAMS based TCP/IP seems to be quite
  16. similar to SVR4 (even to the /etc/netconfig file) but is missing the
  17. rawip driver and support for SOCK_RAW in the socket module/library.

  19. The PTX documentation is really helpful. It says that applications
  20. need to use the TLI interface to access raw IP datagrams. Needless
  21. to say, the TLI stuff fails to mention anything at all about raw IP.

  23. Does anyone out there have any advice about this problem? Is there
  24. any relevant documentation. Have Sequent ported rawip to PTX? Does
  25. anyone have any working code for PTX which sends/receives ICMP that
  26. they could send me?
