  11. I'm not sure that this got out to the world correctly, so's Im going to try it again

  13. What am I doing wrong?

  15. I am having a problem using cu on an exl 3xx machine. Every time i connect to
  16. another system the exl connects, and then immediately dicsonnects.
  17. I usually get as far as seeing the login prompt
  18. on the other machine before the thing disconnects.

  20. This box is at unix 5.3.2 using one of the older 8 line comms boards.
  21. I am (for now) using the standard cables and a null modem until
  22. the modem cable that I want comes in.
  23. I have set up the Device file for a Hayes compatible modem, as thats
  24. what I have (its a courier 2400), and the terminal file is set up
  25. correctly for an outbound modem.

  27. I have set the modem to force high CD and DTR and the modem
  28. still disconnects!
