  55. I *think* these symtoms are consistent with the Finder crashing and
  56. being automatically restarted (I think the restart will be done under
  57. system 7, at least if no other application is running  -- there are
  58. some utlities/hacks that ask the finder to quit, and it is restarted
  59. at some point. Which looks like what you say.)

  61. This suggests the data structures the Finder is seeing are wierd and
  62. cause it to die.

  64. Short of stepping thru it with Macsbug, I don't know if you can confirm
  65. this idea.
