  14. we are in the process of setting up a Novell network, where PC's running
  15. DOS and OS/2 are connected to a Novell server. The RDBMS Oracle 6.0 will
  16. be running on the Novell server as well. We also want to connect a Unix
  17. box to the net, which will send RPC-requests using the TCP/IP protocol
  18. to an OS/2 machine on the LAN.

  20. I heard that now you have got a choice of the underlying protocol in Novell
  21. Netware (IPX/SPX and TCP/IP). Is that true ?

  23. If yes, would I encounter any problems when using the TCP/IP protocol ?
  24. Is TCP/IP supposed to be the "main" protocol to be supported in upcoming
  25. releases of Netware or will Novell stick to IPX/SPX ?

  27. If TCP/IP is supported I would of course prefer using that as the only
  28. protocol on the net.
