- we have novell's ftp nlm running on one of our servers. i am
- wondering if anyone else has experienced any problem like the
- one we seem to be:
-
- when someone (remote) tries to ftp to the server as user
- anonymous, **SOMETIMES** they cannot connect because (as the
- log indicates) they have entered an invalid password. now,
- the thing is, the only way THAT I KNOW OF for this to happen
- is if they enter NO password ... but they ARE ENTERING SOMETHING.
-
- this problem seems really random, as some of the people just keep
- retrying and finally get in. what makes this even weirder is that
- this problem SEEMS to have just been happening recently! (there
- are no "user anonymous failed. invalid password from x.x.x.x" in
- the ftpserv.log for about the first 75%, then a ton of them.)
-
- PLEASE can anyone help with this problem!? post or email would
- be great.

- p.s. the ftpserv.nlm is version 1.2 -- is there a fix?
