  16. Thanks to all who responded to my request for UPS info.  I have gathered info
  17. from several manufacturers.

  19. However, one manufacturer (StediWatt) stands out due to NeXT-specific
  20. monitoring software (Stedi-LANding) and VERY fast switching (20 microseconds)
  21. in its stand-by system.  They also provide built-in phone line surge protection
  22. and a surge-protected (but not uniterruptible power) outlet for an accessory
  23. like a laser printer.  These seem to be nice (and rather unique) features.

  25. I'd like to buy from these guys because they are NeXT developers and seem to be
  26. one of the only (possibly, the only) UPS manufacturers to offer a NeXTSTEP app
  27. that monitors the UPS and the state of line power, etc.  However, they aren't
  28. the least expensive system, so I don't want to buy something that's got known
  29. problems (I assume StediWatt isn't a cover for Neuron :-)

  31. So I'd like to hear of any pros and cons of the Stedi-LANding system.
