- Wrong... the Compatibility Checker 2.0 is very anal-retentive. HyperCard
- 2.1 works fine (I even called Claris to double-check; they said there was
- no problem) and as for Illustrator 3.2 not being compatible, I have 7.1
- and I'm still using 3.0, no problem. I open my PostScript Fonts with
- Suitcase, thus I don't have to worry about whether or not they need to go
- in the Fonts Folder or Extensions Folder. MacPaint 2.0 works. I don't know
- about the others...I don't own any of them... but if you just try it, you
- can figure out which is which.
-
- (People had the same problem with Compatibility Checker 1.0 and System
- 7.0... Wish Apple would do something about that...)

- I spent a grand total of $62.50 on my upgrades (including the original $35
- for 7.1) and shelling out a whole $7.50 for ATM 3.0 was frivolous; you
- can get by with 2.0.3 if you open your PostScript Fonts with Suitcase.
-
- See above comments on so-called "compatibility"...
- This isn't a new complaint, as I said... I remember reading the same gripe
- when people were upgrading to 7.0 oh-so long ago.
- But, if you actually paid $99 for your upgrade, as opposed to the $35
- upgrade that was discussed for weeks on here, _then_ you have a reason to
- complain...
-
- >We called several companies, and found many of them are encouraging Apple
- >(oops!) Encouraging people to tell Apple what they can do with System 7.1
- >(and I don't mean lower the price either---)
-
- I talked to Adobe, Microsoft, Claris, and Fifth Generation. No one had
- anything bad to say about System 7.1... oh well...
-
- Don't get me wrong, I'm not flaming on you, but everybody seems to think
- that CC 2.0 should be taken as gospel, and I'm say it ain't so...
