  13. It seems more likely that you have an init conflict.  I installed 7.1 on my 
  14. IIci, which has many of the programs you mention, plus a ton of inits, and 
  15. everything worked fine.  Even the stuff Apple said needed to be upgraded 
  16. (MacTCP 1.1 to MacTCP 1.1.1) works fine under 7.1 (I'm still using MacTCP 1.1).
  17.  Or perhaps something else is corrupt, like your HD or your installer disks?
