- Am I the only one who's sick of people who seem to think that their
- problem (usually a FAQ, anyway) is the most important one on the net and
- proceed to augment their subject header with something like:
-
- >>>>>>PLEASE HELP!!!!! MY CRAZY STUPID TRASH FOLDER FROM HELL IS TAKING
- UP HALF OF MY HD SPACE!!!! HURRY!!!<<<<<<<<<
-
- "I'm sorry, but I never have time to get on the net, so not only can I
- NOT look through past messages, but I cannot even bother to see if you
- post a reply to this message, so please send me email. What are you
- supposed to do under System 7 to empty the trash? Under System 6, it
- emptied automatically. Thanks!"
-
- It wears really thin after a while because after one or two messages
- like this and three or four responses to each, the subject headers begin
- to look like an ASCII playpen. Please--everyone's problems are
- important, and chances are that someone knowledgable will read your query
- and post (or email, if you insist) reply. You needn't shout or be rude.
-
- Oh, BTW, sorry about the .sig file... I'll change it soon.
