- Hello:
-
- I ftp'd compact-pro-133.hqx from sumex-aim.stanford.edu
- and was trying to get it to my girlfriend's PB.
-
- I obtained and built mcvert with hopes of building the extraction
- software on her machine to make it easier for her to obtain
- files from the net.
-
- The only problem is that she doesn't have a modem. Only
- I do and it's a DOS machine. Thus the only way for her to get
- files is through the Apple File Exchange on System 7.1.
-
- I successfully converted the .hqx file to a .sea.bin file and
- downloaded it to my machine using xmodem. When converting it
- over to her Mac, none of the file attributes were recognized and
- it won't launch the program because it doesn't think it's an
- application (it assumes it's a document).
-
- Am I just wasting my time or is there a way to do this?
-
- Thanks in advance.
-
