- Emulating an Atari ST should not be a great problem, but unfortunately
- I don't know any existing ST-Emulator for the Mac.
-
- Emulating an Amiga seems to be impossible.
- Because: Amiga's have a lot of CustomChips and Coprocessors with
- DMA-Ability. They are excessively used by the operating system and so
- You have to emulate them by software. If (If!) this would be possible,
- it would extremely slow down any PC or Mac or Atari ST and the
- performance, let's say on a Quadra 950, may be, hmm, at about 50% of an
- 7MHz-Standard-Amiga.
- Some features of these famous Amiga-Hardware (Praise Jay Miner!) won't
- be able to be emulated. I.e. the Copper: It has it's own Program called
- "Copperlist" and You can give him instructions to wait until the
- Kathode Ray reach a X- or Y-Position and the Copper then will write any
- data into a specified Address in the Chip-RAM (or the
- Custom-Chip-Addresses?).
- Tell me, how to emulate these time-critical things!
- Then there are the Floppies... On an Macintosh it may possible to read
- and write the Amiga-Format-Disks, but Pissies and Atari ST's are
- definitely not able to do this :-)
-
- Yes, it would be a great deal, if anyone would make an Amiga-Emulator
- without Hardware-Enhancements on ANY Machine, but, I don't believe that
- it will be possible...
-
- Remember: ONLY AMIGA MAKES IT POSSIBLE! :-)
-
- (Yes, I am an Amiga-User and a German One too, and this is the reason
- for my fu***ng bad english, sorry).

- Wieviele Programmierer braucht es,
- um eine kaputte Gluehbirne zu wechseln?
- Gar keinen, das ist ein Hardwareproblem!
