  21. Emulating an Atari ST should not be a great problem, but unfortunately
  22. I don't know any existing ST-Emulator for the Mac.

  24. Emulating an Amiga seems to be impossible. 
  25. Because: Amiga's have a lot of CustomChips and Coprocessors with
  26. DMA-Ability. They are excessively used by the operating system and so
  27. You have to emulate them by software. If (If!) this would be possible,
  28. it would extremely slow down any PC or Mac or Atari ST and the
  29. performance, let's say on a Quadra 950, may be, hmm, at about 50% of an
  30. 7MHz-Standard-Amiga.  
  31. Some features of these famous Amiga-Hardware (Praise Jay Miner!) won't
  32. be able to be emulated.  I.e.  the Copper:  It has it's own Program called
  33. "Copperlist" and You can give him instructions to wait until the
  34. Kathode Ray reach a X- or Y-Position and the Copper then will write any
  35. data into a specified Address in the Chip-RAM (or the
  36. Custom-Chip-Addresses?).  
  37. Tell me, how to emulate these time-critical things!  
  38. Then there are the Floppies...  On an Macintosh it may possible to read
  39. and write the Amiga-Format-Disks, but Pissies and Atari ST's are
  40. definitely not able to do this :-)

  42. Yes, it would be a great deal, if anyone would make an Amiga-Emulator
  43. without Hardware-Enhancements on ANY Machine, but, I don't believe that
  44. it will be possible...
