- According to Apple's release sheet on the Duo 230 (4/80), it
- includes:
-
- *Macintosh Powerbook Duo 230 personal computer with 4 MB of RAM and one
- 80 MB internal Hard disk
- *Battery, AC adapter, power cable
- *System 7.1 software with QuickTime
- *Wall mount plug (U.S.)
- *Complete setup, learning and reference documentation for the Macintosh
- PowerBook Duo 230, Macintosh Duo Dock, Macintosh Duo MiniDock, and
- Macintosh PowerBook Duo Floppy adapter
- *Limited warranty statement
-
- You use the AC adapter to plug it into the wall either for normal use or
- to charge it when undocked. BTW, if you buy a battery charger, which can
- charge two Duo batteries simultaneously out of the CPU, you can either
- use the one that comes with the Duo or buy another--oe isn't provided
- with the charger. Also, from what I her the AC adapter isn't right at
- the business end of the cord, so yoy won't have to block 2-3 outlets on
- your strip with it. And as for memory, you can't use 160/180 RAM; Apple
- makes Duo-specific (that is, specific TO the Duos, not specific among
- them) RAM expansion kits with either 4MB or 8MB. You'll probably want to
- go third-party on that, though...
-
-
- Clarification: In reference to my battery charger blather, I
- meant that the charger doesn't come with an AC adapter; you have
- to buy one or use the one that came with the Duo.
