  24. Since I've been working on getting a Mac myself, I ran into this
  25. explanation for the 13" vs 14" monitor question.  Supposedly, they're
  26. the same monitor - tube wise.  The measure on the 13" monitor was
  27. based on the actual part of the screen that you could get an image
  28. on - this didn't include the black border around the image.  Someone
  29. told Apple, "Hey, everyone else in the TV/monitor industry uses the
  30. whole screen as the basis for measuring.  Why are you guys cheating
  31. yourself out of the extra inch?"  So, Apple has now come out with
  32. the "new" 14" monitor, although it does come with the swivel thing.
  33. Anyway, that's what I heard.  I actually haven't had the chance to
  34. measure myself.  Hope that answers that.
