- Since I've been working on getting a Mac myself, I ran into this
- explanation for the 13" vs 14" monitor question. Supposedly, they're
- the same monitor - tube wise. The measure on the 13" monitor was
- based on the actual part of the screen that you could get an image
- on - this didn't include the black border around the image. Someone
- told Apple, "Hey, everyone else in the TV/monitor industry uses the
- whole screen as the basis for measuring. Why are you guys cheating
- yourself out of the extra inch?" So, Apple has now come out with
- the "new" 14" monitor, although it does come with the swivel thing.
- Anyway, that's what I heard. I actually haven't had the chance to
- measure myself. Hope that answers that.
