  12. After upgrading a Mac I have a few SIMMs floating about
  13. with no home to go to. I also have a one-off (non-Mac) 
  14. system design which calls for 1Mbyte of dynamic RAM.

  16. Putting two and two together I quickly realised that 
  17. SIMM sockets retail for about $6 so wouldn't it be 
  18. neat to re-use the old SIMMS. I have the Mac family 
  19. hardware guide so I know the pinouts for all the SIMMs
  20. used in different Macs. What I haven't got is any other
  21. info about the SIMMS other than they are 1Mbyte each
  22. and they came out of a Mac Plus.

  24. what I would like to know is the standard electrical
  25. characteristics, refresh rates and timing, that sort
  26. of thing.

  28. If anyone has any technical  information on SIMMs in 
  29. general and the SIMMs used in the macintosh in
  30. particular please mail me.
