- }Very cool, very fast, and VERY expensive.
-
- VERY expensive? It's all relative. How much would multiple Quadra 950's
- cost? You can essentiall stick as many Quadra 950's as you have slots (and
- power) for, into your Macintosh, for about $2000 each or so (plus RAM).
-
- Each one becomes a Quadra 950 worth of processing power, linked via the NuBus
- network (faster than Ethernet). So yes, very cool, and very fast, but cheaper
- than separate Macs.
-
- I wouldn't have believed this sort of comparison, but I've talked to people
- at MacWorld who came to see RocketShare and said that it would be great for
- them because they already had "groups" of five to ten Quadra 900 or 950s and
- they just weren't fast enough.
