- A 128K cache card can increase the Quadra's speed from 15-40% from what
- I see in publication, though I'm a little skeptical on it being that high
- (maybe 5-25%). I doubt Moto's hit rate is that high, but even if this is the
- case, a cache card can be useful. If you have a long string of instruction or
- data which is repeated, it can fit in a 128K or 256K cache while a 4K internal
- will only hit on the first part of the string. I suspect that you can overdrive
- a 040 to 33MHz, but I would not suggest doing so. First, do not do this in
- warranty. Second, you can cause all kinds of havoc on your board if you are not
- careful, so approach this type of procedure with caution. I haven't heard of
- Newer Technologies product.
