  14.      I converted a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy GIF to
  15. a StartupScreen using GIFConverter 2.2.10. It looks great, but
  16. the screen stutters when the startupscreen loads. By this I mean
  17. that you can see the image begin at the top and work its way down.
  18. The effect isn't extreme, but it is noticable. 
  19.      This is on an LC with 512K VRAM and a 12"RGB. The startup screen
  20. has a lot of black in it. Would that cause the stuttering. I have converted
  21. GIFS before as deskpictures, and don't recall this problem.
