- In the past I've used a Psion Organiser II XP, now I use an HP-95LX.
- One of the most important features for me is an alarm to tell me when
- I'm about to miss an appointment. This feature isn't available on
- most other computers. Also, a laptop just isn't handy enough to
- be used for time management, so I've never bothered.

- I've been using a laptop computer to take class notes since 1984. I
- take more notes, listen more (because I can type much faster than I can
- write), reorganize notes on the fly, and I'm able to read them.
- Sometimes I'll sketch diagrams on paper, and some classes don't work
- well with a computer like certain mathematics oriented classes. A
- powerful computer is very useful for other mathematics. Most of the
- time I can make simple diagrams in ASCII faster than I could sketch
- them with a drawing program. For more complex drawings I use paper,
- eventually I hope to do it on a computer.

- Is this related to the Snobol programming language? When I have to do
- a lot of card catalog searching I'll hook my laptop up to the online
- card catalog system and just capture the information I need. Later I
- incorporate it into my papers directly.
