  28. Nope.  The IP[CX] is a sun4c, but the SPARCbook is a single-CPU sun4m.

  31.    For example, there is no SCSI port, but there is a parallel port
  32.    which can be used with the Trantor parallel-to-SCSI adaptor to hook
  33.    up external SCSI devices.

  35. This works as advertised, but don't bother buying a high-performance
  36. disk.  The parallel port only has an 8-bit-wide internal data path,
  37. and it's polled frequently.  So not only is the SCSI data transfer
  38. slow, it also has a huge negative impact on your overall system
  39. performance.

  54.    The only real disappointment is that the built-in modem is only
  55.    2400 baud (9600 baud for FAX): with V32bis SLIP (and later PPP)
  56.    would be really usable.  Maybe someone will come up with a
  57.    parallel-port ISDN interface.

  59. I used it with a Telebit QBlazer (V.32/V.42/V.42bis, 38400 DTE, in a
  60. small color-coordinated black box) for PPP traffic, and was fairly
  61. pleased.  Of course, it would be nice not to have to carry around even
  62. something as small as a QBlazer, so an internal V.32bis/V.42/V.42bis
  63. would be even more wonderful.
