- Hello,
-
- I recently acquire a 386DX/25mhz motherboard with
- 8mb of ram (80ns sipps).
-
- After installing a hard-drive & Trident 8900 (1mb)
- SVGA card, along with other stuff (keyboard, modem, etc.),
- upon booting (cold), once in a while the system just
- hangs (before memory check) and I have to do another boot,
- then it'll work.
-
- Other times, when I am running ANY applications (Windows esp.),
- I will get a cleared blue screen with the message:
- "MEMORY PARITY ERROR" in the middle of the screen.
- Again, I usually have to reboot (a warm boot usually works).
-
- If anyone has any knowledge of what is wrong, please respond
- either through direct e-mail or post the message here.
-
- Thanks!
-
- Jimmy
