- The -JB and -JC's had a design problem in one of the gate arrays. This
- made them croak (that's a technical term 8-) if some sort of memory cycle
- happened. I believe it was block mode transfers. I further recall that
- -JB's and -JC's could be used in the 11/x4 CPU's, since the bus perverter
- didn't generate such cycles, but if you used them in an 11/x3 system, you
- would wedge the machine/corrupt memory contents. Of course, all of this
- is being recalled from some brain cells which were placed into service be-
- fore ECC logic was available, so check the manuals 8-)
