- Why not? I put a MMUed 030 on my VXL, which also ships with the
- EC as standard. They are pin for pin compatible, you may have to reset a
- few jumpers on the GVP, but it shouldn't cause any problems, all you are
- doing is giving yourself an MMU.
- I'm not sure but I do believe the GVP uses hardware/software for
- mapping the KickStart ROMs into 32 bit memory, which is done by the MMU on
- an RC030, but there maybe a jumper setting for disabling that function on
- your GVP or a software setting to do the same thing.
- I use CPU FASTROM to do it on the VXL, which uses the MMU to map
- the KICKROM. I've seen no problems that I can attribute to the MMUed 030 as
- of yet.
