- This is a GOOD game. I bought it earlier this year and played it for about
- a month straight (on evenings and weekends, of course). The intelligence is
- good, the units are good, the scenarios are good. This is a game that you
- will really like if you're into strategy/conquest games - it involves managing
- limited reserves and tactics (ie: it's a great mind game).
- The graphics are good, and the interface is easy to deal with. It is hard
- disk installable, likes the 68030, and likes Workbench 2.04. The manual is
- pretty good, as well.
- My gripes about it: there's no random scenario generator or world builder.
- After a month or so, I found myself winning all of the scenarios provided with
- the game. (There is a WWII scenario disk out now). Another thing I didn't like
- about it was the abscence of aircraft and ships - this is purely a land game.
- It's definitely worth the cost (if you're paying $32), and if you like
- Empire or Civilization, you'll like Perfect General. (It's not a replacement
- for Empire, but it's a nice change; Civ is also more involved, but it also is
- a nice change). All around, a good game.
