  13. Sorry if I'm asking some FAQs, but I haven't been on this group for 
  14. quit awhile.  I'll make it short and sweet.

  16. I've go an A1000 with 2.5 Meg and a 40-M Xetec HD hooked to an
  17. Okidata OL400 laser printer (HPII emulation).  I bought ProWrite
  18. 3.2 last year in hopes of getting an application on par with
  19. MS-Word, but I was miserably disappointed.  A typical 300dpi
  20. 12-pt Times text-only page takes 4-7 minutes to print.  Not
  21. only that, but the quality of the printout is terrible, "High
  22. Quality" mode gives me garbage, printer font numbers don't work 
  23. (yeah, I know: "It's not New Horizon's fault that the printer
  24. driver doesn't support it..."), I only get a few displayed lines
  25. on my screen in non-interlace, etc., etc., etc.  In short, my old
  26. Zenith 286 running Word for Windows ran circles around this combo.
  27. I am on the verge of selling the ProWrite and buying Final Copy II.

  29. Ques 1:  Will I see the advertised speed increase with FC II and
  30. my system?  Will I be able to successfully (i.e., see smooth,
  31. 300 dpi resolution on the printed page)  use the "included" 
  32. outline fonts with my OL400 and get pages out faster than 8 min per?

  34. Ques 2:  I want to get Professional Draw 3.0.  Same basic questions
  35. as above, but mainly will I be limited on output quality on my
  36. non-Postscript printer and what should I expect for speed (or lack
  37. thereof) on my unaccelerated A1000.

  39. Any advice EMAILED to me would be greatly appreciated.  I'm a full-
  40. time student and don't have a whole lot of time to research all 
  41. this.  I'm especially interested if you're using a A1000 and/or
  42. the OL400.  Thanks, all.
