  17. We recently purchased a Micropolis 2912 2Gb hard drive
  18. and installed if for use on our NeXT Cube.  I ran a small
  19. performance tester, and found that the drive is
  20. absolutely SLOW!  Transfer rates for both read and writes
  21. were about 400 kb/s.  The internal HP drive in the cube is up
  22. around 700 kb/s.  Is there something wrong here?  Is there
  23. possibly something wrong in the way the drive is
  24. configured?  The drive has a 14ms seek time...
