- Here is a question on SCSI device implementation. Please note that it has
- nothing to do with SCSI host adaptors (the card) or the SCSI bus (the cable
- connections). If you go into a store and buy a SCSI device, will it have local
- DMA capabilities? I.e., is it safe to assume that the device will have a 32K
- or larger transfer buffer that is accessed via local DMA with the SCSI control
- logic? I can imagine a SCSI device could be developed that would not use local
- DMA, but does any company do it?
