- Excuse me if this is an elementary question - I am rather a VMS novice (tend
- to write Unix shell scripts in DCL :-), but what I want to do is this. I
- want to get the numeric result of a dir/siz/grand [dirname...] into a symbol
- in a DCL command file so I can compute on it. In other words, I want the
- number of blocks contained in a directory and all its subdirectories to be
- the value of the symbol. Sort of the VMS equivalent of
- symbol=`du -s dirname` if it were Unix. Can anyone help me?
