- When I run a 19.2Kbps modem on my VAXstation-2000's modem port, I
- start to have strange problems. Everything will work fine for a while,
- but eventually the mouse will start generating spurious button press
- events and the keyboard will start autorepeating random characters.
-
- I suspect that the serial line mux in the 2000 is being confused
- somehow. THe machine passes all the diagnostics, including those
- for the DZ, w/o problems.
-
- I never have these problems if I run the modem at 9.6Kbps.
-
- The modem line is set to the alternate type ahead buffer, and that
- is SYSGENed to 10K bytes.
-
- Has anyone seen anything like this ?
