- TFS> If you do spend the money on an Adaptec, you might as well get a SCSI
- TFS> hard disk and leave behind IDE.

- I am considering an upgrade to SCSI for my system as well. I plan
- on adding a CD-ROM and tape backup unit to my system and eventually a
- larger hard drive. For the time being, can I get by using an IDE hard
- drive in conjunction with the SCSI controller for the CD-ROM? I am
- planning on the Adaptec 1542 if that makes a difference.
-
- Much thanks for your assistance in advance.
