  16.      I am considering an upgrade to SCSI for my system as well.  I plan
  17. on adding a CD-ROM and tape backup unit to my system and eventually a
  18. larger hard drive.  For the time being, can I get by using an IDE hard
  19. drive in conjunction with the SCSI controller for the CD-ROM?  I am
  20. planning on the Adaptec 1542 if that makes a difference.
