  28. I'm now beginning to wonder if the background option under "settings" which
  29. is in the control menu of a DOS window overrides the pif setting.  I would
  30. think so, however I often run PCPLUS in a window while I execute a query on
  31. the mini here at work.  I click the control menu, select settings, make
  32. sure that I have Background checked (Exclusive is not, but then it
  33. shouldn't matter if this app is running in the background).

  35. This should work right?  Wrong!  My query runs fine on the remote system,
  36. but I get no output whatsoever in the window.  I'd rather not have
  37. background checked in the PIF file because then (even with a background to
  38. foreground ratio of 100:1000) all of my other applications are slowed more
  39. than I like them to be.
