- I have a 386 with 2 meg and when I run smartdrv with the
- recommended settings for my system (smartdrv 1024 512)
- windows runs slower! For example, without a cache in windows,
- Ms Word 2.0 took 35 seconds to load, WITH a 512k cache, it took
- 60 seconds to load, AND the hard drive would never stop running.
-
- What is the problem here? I was under the impression that a cache of
- any size would speed up windows? Am I wrong as it seems I am.
