  11. I have a 386 with 2 meg and when I run smartdrv with the
  12. recommended settings for my system (smartdrv 1024 512)
  13. windows runs slower!  For example, without a cache in windows,
  14. Ms Word 2.0 took 35 seconds to load, WITH a 512k cache, it took
  15. 60 seconds to load, AND the hard drive would never stop running.

  17. What is the problem here?  I was under the impression that a cache of
  18. any size would speed up windows?   Am I wrong as it seems I am.
