I also suspect that it is causing the response of the termjnal emulator to be degraded.  I am suffering serious degradation of emulator performance with 3.0 and 3.03.  I believe others are also, and would like to know what can be done about it.  If it isn' ft fixed, it won't be useable to me any more.
