- Hi, netters/couch-potatoes!
-
- I'm using Win/TV from Hauppauge Computer Works, $439 from PC Connect.
- It shows a clear picture in any Windows window with resolutions up to
- 1024x768 (interlaced, 800x600 and 640x480 non-interlaced). Your VGA card
- must have a feature-connector to use Win/TV.
-
- It takes the output from your VGA card from the feature connector,
- super-imposes the TV image onto the computer-generated Windows-screen and
- sends the output directly to the monitor. As far as the computer is
- concerned the Win/TV window (fully resizable - it will even continue to
- display a TV picure as an icon) is just another window (static).
-
- In fact, if you do a screen capture to grab the TV window, all you get is
- a pink window where your TV image is. This is because the Win/TV board
- uses the same technology that let's your local weather-man stand in front
- of the weather-map. If you do want to grab the picture Win/TV has a
- freeze-frame button.
