  17. No, it's an important feature.

  19. MH will obey whatever locking convention you tell it to (see
  20. mh-tailor(5)).  When you run "inc", MH locks the maildrop.  This is
  21. supposed to stop the MTA from adding more messages.  Just before MH
  22. zeroes the maildrop, it checks to make sure the maildrop hasn't
  23. changed.  If it has changed, the maildrop is not zeroed (under the
  24. assumption that the locking protocol failed for an unknown reason).

  26. Fix your MTA and mtstailor file so that they agree on the locking
  27. protocol.
