  15. The following information from Stentor Canadian Network Management,
  16. the consortium of major Canadian telephone companies, was distributed
  17. through the Canadian Department of Communications' Terminal Attachment
  18. Program Advisory Committee as TAPAC bulletin 92-13.

  20. Advance Notice of Change in the Maximum Length of International
  21. Telephone Numbers:
  22.  
  23. Beginning midnight December 31, 1996, CCITT Recommendation E.164 will
  24. be implemented.  This recommendation allows the expansion of
  25. international telephone numbers from 12 to 15 digits.  Although the
  26. North American Numbering Plan will not change, some foreign
  27. administrations may assign numbers up to 15 digits long to
  28. subscribers. Therefore, terminal equipment originating calls to these
  29. subscribers must be able to handle the additional digits.
