- [stuff about converting from bridging to routing]

- Only problems we had was that we entered all the information correctly in
- to the cisco config file but made mistakes in the other routers. If you
- have a zone called "WDL B260-3R" on the Cisco and "WDL b260-3R" on another
- router, big problems. Case and spelling of zones must be exact.
-
- According to Inside AppleTalk, case is insignificant. Cisco routers
- follow this convention, but it's possible that other manufacturers do
- not. If so, then it should be considered a bug.

- As an aside, the zone name "WDL B260-3R" seems a little vague,
- although I may be completely wrong (i.e. "WDL B260-3R" may be
- perfectly clear to users). Nevertheless, zone names should generally
- be chosen for the benefit of users of the network, not the
- administrators. Zone names should especially not be based on the
- topology of the network. For example, "Ethernet zone 1" is a bad
- choice. What happens if the topology changes? Zone names will have
- to change, too. Zone names should be selected along organizational or
- functional lines. "Engineering," "Finance," and "MIS" are some
- examples. Easily understood zone names facilitates the location of
- network services and devices by users.

- Hope this helps.
