- () I'm running DOS Waffle 1.65, and would like to implement a simplistic
- () database lookup for BBS callers to access via Waffle. I suppose
- () if I were running Unix I could do something with the shell and
- () its tools, but my question is - can someone recommend a small
- () (must fit into c. 300k) non-terminal specific (no ANSI-PC emulations
- () please, just tty text) database program that might integrate with
- () DOS Waffle?
- ()
- () I actually tried dBASEII but it does odd things to the screen
- () and didn't seem to be dealing with simple tty output, event using
- () Doorway as a mediator.
- ()
- () Shareware's best, of course!
-
- I printed out the documentations for DOORWAY today. I haven't
- installed it yet (I prefered sleeping, sorry :-) ), but it's very
- promising... Have a look at it.
- This program seems to be able to run most programs via serial
- ports. It converts the PC screen to VT100 sequences and enables
- keyboard emulation.
-
- Perhaps with this program you are able to run your favourite
- database via modem ?
-
- Should be available on halycon.com (I found it there).

- P.S.: If anyone has installed it with Waffle, could you give a
- small report about the good/bad experiences you made ? Thanks !
