  24. There aer more programs that can do the job (like Ufgate) but Fredgate can do
  25. the job OK... The format is more universal (Ufgate produces seperate .msg
  26. files, where fredgate produces .pkt files....)

  28. I strongly recommend to het your hands on version 18, because it has more docs
  29. included! Then, get your hands one version 19J (later versions (up to M) seem
  30. to be buggy.... They do not support any major extrea features either (I'm still
  31. waiting for the 'sendertype' feature to be implemented 100% :-((   ) (Now you
  32. have to map EACH point explicitely to let it produce a nice sender-adress
  33. instead of a f*cked up fido-style adress.. I've written a util for myself to
  34. facilitate this... (it tracks all writers in the pkt'files, then puts
  35. fidomap0statements in fred's config-file for them (multi-node support), So I
  36. don;t have to map them manually (which is quite comfortable with more than onde
  37. node...). If there are any ppl interested in testing this, feel free to mail me
  38. ! I'll send you the program to be tested...))

  40. Back to your problem: the comments in the config.fil will help, together with
  41. the docs that go with version 18 (it's a complete mystery to me why they're not
  42. included in version 19)... If you still have trouble, mail me your setup and
  43. your vital info and I'll have a look at it....
