- Just a data point -- I was seeing about 1300cps using the ZyXEL 16.8k
- (bidirectional) protocol and v.42/v.42bis . When I disabled v.42bis,
- I started getting more like 1600cps. This is g(7,64) to a medium-loaded
- Sun 4/490. The suggestion to disable v.42bis was made by another local
- UUCP site who has a USR dual standard, he said he was getting much better
- throughput with v.42bis turned off as well.
