  31. It would be very nice to have at least a mailbox type format and it would
  32. cut down on lost disk space due to smaller files quite a bit.  It would
  33. speed backups and restores too...  My tape software really slows down when
  34. it gets to my Usenet partition.

  36.   Yeah, I know you have to keep things compatible amongst the various
  37. versions (*NIX and DOS) of Waffle.  However, sometimes things need to be
  38. optimized a bit more for one than the other.  ;-) ;-)  I'd like to carry a
  39. few more newsgroups here, but am already running well over 8000 files just
  40. on my Usenet partition with 90 newsgroups now.
